A faster, more efficient delivery for you
The Department of Health has introduced a new NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which send prescriptions electronically, making the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for you.
EPS can save time and effort for people with regular repeat prescriptions, meaning it should be perfect for anyone who uses prescription stoma, urology, continence and bowel products that are dispensed through Rapidcare.
We have invested in the very latest NHS computer equipment to allow our customers to fully benefit from this new service, therefore patients using the Rapidcare Service for their supplies will be able to benefit from an even faster service, with no need to collect your prescriptions in person and post them, and an overall easier process from the comfort of your home.
You can ask your GP practice if they are set up for EPS and if not when this will happen.
Prescriptions are going Paperless
There’s no need to collect paper prescriptions.
When your repeat prescription request is made to your GP, either by yourself or by us on your behalf, your GP raises the prescription for the items you require and simply sends it to us electronically.
This means we receive your prescription quicker.
What you need to do next…
How to nominate Rapidcare as your preferred supplier:
You will need to choose a place for your GP practice to electronically send your prescription, this is called nomination. If you would like to nominate Rapidcare to continue to deliver your medical appliances, please call us or drop us a line using the freepost address. To find out more about EPS and how it can benefit you, call us on Freephone number 0800181901
